About the role

Acme is looking for a Staff Product Designer to lead design for our core platform. You'll partner with PMs and engineers to shape the experience thousands of HR teams rely on every day.

What you'll do

Own end-to-end design for a major product surface, from research to ship
Drive design reviews and mentor two mid-level designers on the team
Partner with Product and Engineering leadership on roadmap tradeoffs
Establish patterns in our design system (Figma) and push them across the org
Run usability studies with customers and translate findings into iterations

What we're looking for

6+ years of product design experience at a SaaS or consumer-scale company
A portfolio showing end-to-end ownership — not just pretty mockups
Strong systems thinking and comfort with complex data-heavy UIs
Experience mentoring other designers
Excellent written communication — we're a distributed team

Nice to have

Background in HR tech, fintech, or other regulated domains
Working knowledge of HTML/CSS and a history of close EPD collaboration
Experience designing for mobile + desktop in a single surface
